Where does the time go?

So I haven't posted since July! But a lot of things have happened since then....too many to list. I'll try to get back in the swing of things soon.

This past Sunday night, I co-chair the SPCA's black tie event, "Fur Ball". Needless to say a lot of my time & energy has been spend with that event over the past several months. However, we raised over $250 K! So very pleased!

Weekend of fun

Friday night some friends and I went to see Sex in the City 2. Thinking the best would be the clips in the preview, I was surprised that wasn't true. It was almost 3 hours long...a little too much. The wardrobe was a bit over the top and the story line seems a bit hodge podge. I'm glad I went to see it but that will probably be my only viewing...no need for a repeat on Netflix for me.

Saturday morning, "D" & I walked the Susan B Komen, Race for the Cure 5K. Approximately 23,000 people were registered. But I was amazed at the organization and the crowd control. This was my first time and we had such a great time being together knowing we were supporting such a great cause that we plan to make this an annual event.

Beach Shopping

The week before Memorial Day, "K", her hubby & I headed down to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend. We had a nice time & great weather. Of course we went shopping...here are my finds!

Patio Transformed

I started working on my patio transformation early spring and am just now getting around to posting about it. I don't have the before pics but here is the after.

Loveseat & Chair: spray painted black, added new cushions & pillows; tables: spray painted yellow

Me, an artist?

Nope...but I tried at 2 different things.

Some girls from book club when to Klaystation to paint some pottery! It was a lot of fun. You pick out your piece and get to painting. Once finished, they will fire it up and in about a week you pick up your finished product.

My next try at something was painting. "K", K's hubby & I went to Wine & Design for what we called "drunk painting". You start off by pouring yourself a glass of wine then start painting! The instructor is painting and you are supposed to follow along, trying to make yours look somewhat like her's. The totally blank canvas was a little intimidating but once you got going it was fun.
